The good sensations in training meant that the athlete of FC Barcelona could be able to reach 6'20m, however the competition was won by Lex Gillette (6'27m) followed by Ruslan Katyshev (6'21m) and Ricardo Costa de Oliveira (6'21m). |

26/06/2017 NEXT STOP LONDON Last Saturday, June 24 at the Spanish Championships, FC Barcelona Paralympic athlete Xavi Porras achieved the best result of the season with a jump that exceeded six meters in length (6'07m, v:+4m/s). The sensations of our athlete are good and he is working to finish the race to enter the table with the last three supports with the maximum possible speed. The event will be on July 16 at the World Championships in London. Go Xavi Go! Run & fly! |

21/05/2017 IDES OF MAY The Paralympic athlete Xavi Porras is focused on his children as well as his sporting side in these difficult moments that he goes through in his personal life. No doubt the mood has made a dent in the results in the last competitions in which he has attended, both in the Catalunya Championship (06/05/17) and in the meeting of Hospitalet (05/05/17), leaving in the latter after his first three null in a competition. However, this last weekend in the meeting of Basauri our athlete despite jumping with the wind against made a jump of 5'77 m and managed to solve the problems that had in Hospitalet related to the race pace with 16 strides (instead of the 18 in Rio). Xavi is also grateful for the support received by its sponsors MANXA, FINESTRA SUL CIELO and JPS ENGLISH SCHOOL, encouraging those interested in Paralympic athletics to join his project. Xavi will compete on June 10 at the Valencia Championship with the expectation of continuing to improve technically and leave behind definitely the ides of May. |

26/01/2017 XAVI PORRAS, PARALYMPIC PROPONENT OF THE FC BARCELONA ATHLETIC SECTION ATTENDED IN THE CAMP NOU SUITE As a Paralympic proponent of the FC Barcelona athletic section and invited by the president of the club, Xavi Porras attended in the Camp Nou suite a football match of the first team which won by a forceful 5-2 to the Real Sociedad, obtaining the pass to the semifinals of the Copa del Rey. The athlete is grateful for this gesture and remembers with pride his twelve years defending the blaugrana colors with the ambition to continue being present in the sporting competitions in representation of the club and hoping his figure to have more presence. |
