Xavi Porras gets the bronze medal in long jump in the European Championship of Berlin. The athlete from Olot is happy with the result: "I had been at 6'20 in training, which was what I was hoping to jump in. I always try to enjoy the competition and I am very satisfied".

The champion of Europe was a well-known revelation, the Spanish Gerard Descàrrega (before B2, now B1) who took the gold with a jump of 6'38m, followed by the French Ronan Pallier with 6'16 m. Xavi closed the podium with a jump of 6'09 m.

Endorsed by numerous international medals at his back as well as championships of Spain and Catalonia, the athlete of FC Barcelona has no other intention than to continue getting excited by the high competition. His goal is clear: to fight for a metal in Tokyo 2020 in which will be his fifth and last Paralympic games.
